Singer/Songwriter Dranada Summons opens up about one his profound hits from the Beach Banger Album titled "Do You." This eclectic yet soulful song describes one reflecting on a past love. A love that was once innocent and pure; now turned into cold misunderstanding. Drananda Summons invites the listeners to remind themselves of their self worth and consciousness.
What are your thoughts on “Do You” from the Beach Banger Album?
This song is a very fragile song because it is meant to take the listener back to those precious memories of you being with that special person that meant the absolute world to you. Its fragility lies in the awareness that “they” are no longer relevant in your life. So when I wrote the song, my authentic approach was that I was not striving to give answers. Instead, I wanted to leave the listener with a few challenging questions. Do you care about me? Do you care about us? Do you care about what we can even be? I also learned as I wrote this song that at times the heart will demand answers and most of the time the heart will demand the truth. So this song provides listeners with that clarity that we all deserve in an intimate loving situation.
